Where our South America tours go

Real Dreams runs South America as one continent, not as separate countries. Below is where our programmes actually go, what each one costs per day and how long it needs. Every trip is private and built to order — there are no fixed departures.

Peru tours

Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley and Lake Titicaca, from seven days. The most-asked-for country on the continent, and the one that pairs with everything else. From US$1,300 per person.

Chile tours

The Atacama Desert in the north and Torres del Paine in the far south — 4,300 kilometres apart, linked by two short flights. Thirteen days covers both without rushing. From US$4,200 per person.

Argentina tours

Buenos Aires, the Iguazu falls and the glaciers of Santa Cruz: three corners of the eighth-largest country on earth, in twelve days. No altitude anywhere on the route. From US$4,600 per person.

Colombia tours

Bogota, Medellin and Guatape, the coffee belt around Salento, and Cartagena on the Caribbean. Three regions, short cheap flights between them, and the best value on the continent. From US$3,900 per person.

Bolivia and the Salar de Uyuni

The salt flat and the coloured lagoons of the southwest, reached overland from Peru and paired with Machu Picchu in a single thirteen-day run. From US$3,600 per person.

Crossing borders

The routes connect. The Uyuni circuit ends at Laguna Verde on the Chilean border; El Calafate in Argentina is five hours overland from Torres del Paine; and Bogota is under two hours from Quito and Lima. Most of our longer trips use one of those crossings rather than adding a fourth region inside one country.
