Itinerary

DAY 1: SANTA CRUZ - GIANT TORTOISES

The highlands of Santa Cruz contrast with the dry islands. The predominant vegetation in the area is the Scalesia trees that create a lush green color. A short drive will take you to a private reserve where giant Galapagos tortoises roam, graze, and sleep wild and free.

After visiting these prehistoric creatures in their natural habitat, you will visit a lava tunnel with 450 meters of illumination. It has a ceiling almost 6 meters high.

At the end of the visit, you will be transferred to Puerto Ayora to your hotel.

DAY 2: HIKE TO BARTOLOME’S SUMMIT AND SNORKEL

After a hike of approximately 600 meters you will find the top of the island and with it, the most photographed landscape of the Galapagos Island. The hike is almost surreal as you will be able to observe recent volcanic eruptions and a landscape like Mars.

It is a walk through evolution, comparing the beginnings of Bartolome with other developed islands.

It is an ideal place for snorkeling due to the plenty of rocks and underwater formations. Also, here you can observe penguins, sharks, rays, starfish, flounders and a variety of colorful tropical fish. The beach is accessible and is a great place to relax after a long snorkel.

DAY 3: DISCOVER THE WILDLIFE OF NORTH SEYMOUR ISLAND

Embark on an unforgettable adventure to North Seymour Island, one of the most remarkable sites in the Galapagos archipelago.

Once on the island, follow a guided trail surrounded by blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds, land iguanas, sea lions, and a variety of seabirds nesting in their natural habitat.

After exploring the island, enjoy an exciting snorkeling session near Mosquera Islet or Bachas Beach, where you can swim alongside sea turtles, reef fish, and playful sea lions.

DAY 4: SPEED BOAT TO ISABELA ISLAND AND TINTORERAS TOUR

Begin your adventure with a scenic 2.5-hour ferry ride from Santa Cruz to Isabela Island, enjoying views of the Pacific and possible marine life along the way. Upon arrival in Puerto Villamil, get ready for an exciting exploration of the island’s stunning coastal wildlife.

Next, we’ll set out on the Kayak in Tintoreras Islet Tour, starting with a boat ride through the calm bay waters. You’ll spot Galapagos penguins, blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, sea lions, and even Tintoreras sharks resting in the shallow waters.

DAY 5: LOS TUNELES DAY TRIP

Discover one of the most stunning locations in the Galapagos with the Los Tuneles Tour on Isabela Island. Departing from Puerto Villamil, the trip will take you through turquoise waters toward a stunning volcanic landscape.

Along the way, you may spot blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, pelicans, and other seabirds resting on the rocks.

Once at Los Tuneles, enjoy a guided exploration of the lava bridges and shallow channels, home to marine iguanas, sea turtles, rays, sea lions, and white-tip reef sharks resting in the calm waters. The experience also includes an unforgettable snorkeling.

DAY 6: SIERRA NEGRA VOLCANO - SPEED BOAT TO PUERTO AYORA

Climbing the volcanic crater of Sierra Negra is simply not to be missed in the Galapagos Island by geology lovers and adventurers. On the way to Sierra Negra Volcano, there is an obvious change of scenery.

Sierra Negra is an excellent place for bird watching (finches and curracas, among many others). There are two trails to take and it depends on the stamina of each person. The first is a circuit that goes to the viewpoint of the Sierra Negra Volcano.

From there we will walk around this huge crater of 50 square kilometers. If we still have energy, we can continue walking to the top of the Chico volcano, a place with a very unique landscape in which there is a fusion of red, orange, yellow and black tones. Here we can observe fumaroles and spectacular lava formations.

DAY 7: TRANSFER TO BALTRA

After breakfast, we will head to Baltra Airport for your return flight to the mainland. At the coordinated time, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you comfortably to the airport, marking the end of your Galapagos Island Travel.
