An extraordinary trip through the Galapagos Islands, to enjoy its wildlife and paradisiacal landscapes, we offer a Galapagos Dream tour with an itinerary designed for all ages and tastes.
  • Day 1: Santa Cruz - Giant tortoises ranches

The highlands of Santa Cruz contrast with the dry islands. The predominant vegetation in the area is the Scalesia trees that create a lush green color. A short drive will take you to a private reserve where giant Galapagos tortoises roam, graze and sleep wild and free. Walking among the tortoises in the wild will be one of the most memorable moments of your Galapagos Island trip.

After visiting these prehistoric creatures in their natural habitat, you will visit a lava tunnel with 450 meters of illumination. It has a ceiling almost 6 meters high. This is an incredible opportunity to see lava stalagmites, stalactites, sulfur, mineral-colored walls and the undulating floor formed by the lava along these unique lava formations.

At the end of the visit, you will be transferred to Puerto Ayora to your hotel.

  • Day 2: Bartolomé Island

After a hike of approximately 600 meters you will find the top of the island and with it, the most photographed landscape of the Galapagos Island. The hike is almost surreal as you will be able to observe recent volcanic eruptions and a landscape like Mars. It is a walk through evolution, comparing the beginnings of Bartolomé with other developed islands.

It is an ideal place for snorkeling due to the plenty of rocks and underwater formations. Also, here you can observe penguins, sharks, rays, starfish, flounders and a variety of colorful tropical fish. The beach is accessible and is a great place to relax after a long snorkel.

  • Day 3: Seymour (Group Tour) or Plazas

This small island is one of the most important fishing sites for seabirds. This place is the reason for many travelers and ornithologists to observe the diverse amount of birds of the Galapagos Island. In addition, this is a fascinating place to see nesting blue-footed boobies and colonies of frigatebird. On a lucky day, you might even spot a Galapagos snake. The ground is dotted with Palo Santo and gray salt bushes.

One of the smallest and, depending on the season, most colorful islands. You will find colonies of sea lions, land and hybrid iguanas and countless birds soaring along the cliffs. On this island we have the largest population of land iguanas that can be seen in the Galapagos Island.

The walk begins with an impressive cactus forest surrounded by animals such as sea lions and iguanas. Upon reaching its highest point, we will be able to see some tropical birds and swallow-tailed gulls. In Plaza Sur there is a large colony of smaller land iguanas. Its population reaches approximately 300 individuals. They feed on all types of vegetation, but during the dry season they survive on the fruits and flowers of Opuntias. Due to its proximity to the marine iguanas, this is the only place where we will find the Galapagos hybrid iguana.

**NOTE: On this day, the excursion will be subject to change until we know your travel dates and according to availability. The possible options might be Bartolome-North Seymour or Plazas.

  • Day 4: Speed boat to Isabela Island and Tintoreras tour

We will arrive at this place in a small boat after sailing for 15 minutes through the interior of the bay. The visit lasts about 3 hours and begins with a boat tour. During the tour it will be possible to take pictures, observe penguins, blue-footed boobies and different seabirds. Afterwards we disembark to walk with the guide for about 45 minutes. Here, we will observe a species of sharks called Tintoreras that normally take refuge in a small arm of the sea or crevice looking for a rest in warm waters.

Also, on this hike we will find large groups of adult and juvenile marine iguanas, in nesting state if it coincides with the breeding season. Then, we will observe sea lions, which can sometimes be found with their babies. Finally, it is time to snorkel to see the wonderful marine fauna.

  • Day 5: Los Tuneles Day Trip

This is the most spectacular site for diving and snorkeling on Isabela Island. The waters are shallow, calm and very clear. A wonderful marine sanctuary. A series of lava flows have produced unique geological formations, a series of arches and tunnels under and above the water – a habitat for many local Galapagos species.

It is an exciting boat adventure to a very unique geological site. A snorkeling paradise and home to several species of the incomparable Galapagos Islands. There is an extension of 800 meters and an average temperature between 18 and 22 °C. In a geographical context of countless colors and textures due to the different types of volcanic lava. In addition, it has a colorful desert vegetation that includes xerophytic plants among cactus, “Palo Santo” and carob trees.

Eighty percent of this tour is at sea, including snorkeling. It is reached by a navigation of approximately 45 minutes. During the navigation, it is possible to see rays. Arriving at the Tunnels, we will walk for a few minutes over the lava arches to photograph the landscape and observe some blue-footed boobies (in breeding season). Immediately, we will put on our snorkeling equipment and accompanied by our guide we will swim to observe rays, turtles, fish and, if we are lucky, we will see seahorses, lobsters and other marine species.

  • Day 6: Sierra Negra Volcano - Speed boat to Puerto Ayora

Climbing the volcanic crater of Sierra Negra is simply not to be missed in the Galapagos Island by geology lovers and adventurers. Since its last eruption in 2018, the Sierra Negra Volcano, hosts incredible lava paths adorned with local plant and animal life.

On the way to Sierra Negra Volcano, there is an obvious change of scenery. You will observe from volcanic dryness with black soil and little vegetation to a humid forest with local and foreign plants introduced into the environment. Sierra Negra is an excellent place for bird watching (finches and curracas, among many others). There are two trails to take and it depends on the stamina of each person. The first is a circuit that goes to the viewpoint of the Sierra Negra Volcano. The other is a straight road to Volcán Chico.

    Sierra Negra Volcano

In the morning we will travel by car to the highlands of Isabela, following the route to the end of the road. There we will begin a hike into a new geological world. During the hike we will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful views and the incredible contrast between the volcanoes and the sea. Finally we will arrive at the edge of the volcanic crater of Sierra Negra, the second largest active volcanic crater in the world. From there we will walk around this huge crater of 50 square kilometers. If we still have energy, we can continue walking to the top of the Chico volcano, a place with a very unique landscape in which there is a fusion of red, orange, yellow and black tones.
