Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Quito City Tour and Middle of the world

    The city of Quito, at 2850 meters above sea level, is one of the best preserved with its cobblestone streets, its old facades, museums and Baroque-style churches such as the Basilica of the National Vow or the Church of the Company. After this, we will take a short walk through the Plaza Grande and the Carondelet Palace and to finish, we will visit two hemispheres in the monument to the Middle of the World.

  • Day 2 - Otavalo Market

    This day in Otavalo promises us to learn more about its culture and tradition. The Plaza de los Ponchos is the largest in Latin America and one of the most popular. Before visiting it we will pass by several places such as the Quitsato Solar Clock, the Peguche waterfall, and the Cuicocha Lagoon. If we still have time we can go to the biscuit factory to taste.

  • Day 3 - Transfer from Quito to Tena + Tour of the Ecuadorian Amazon

    Here begins a great adventure through the Ecuadorian Amazon. The tour starts at the Arajuno Bridge, where we will take a canoe for 20 minutes upriver to our lodge. During the trip we will have our first encounter with the beauty of the Amazon rainforest.

  • Day 4 - Full Day in the Amazon

    After breakfast, we will begin a 2 to 3-hours walk through the jungle to explore the natural beauty.
    Later, we will visit a Kichwa community to learn about their lifestyle and taste the traditional drink called "chicha". We will have the opportunity to participate in the preparation and enjoy it accompanied by typical dishes, along with a traditional dance performed by the children of the community.

  • Day 5 - Birdwatching

    We will wake up very early to take a 15-minute canoe ride upriver to the "Saladero de Loros", a beautiful place to observe parrots and parakeets that gather here to search for minerals. These birds are found in the canopy and then descend to the mud wall to feed on the mineral-rich soil. Our excursion soon ends with a 20-minute walk to the Arajuno Bridge.

  • Day 6 - Tour in Baños (Devils Cauldron)

    We will go to the Adventure Capital in Baños de Agua Santa, our first visit will be to the Agoyán waterfall, its height is 40 meters, and is known for the great purity of its waters, equal to the mantle of a bride. This tour continues by visiting the Tree House and the Swing at the End of the World.
    We will continue to the famous Devil's Cauldron waterfall, a waterfall that falls with great force and whose legend tells us that among its rocks can form the face of the devil. We will drive for 2 hours to reach Guamote.

  • Day 7 - Guamote Market

    Our tour continues in Guamote, in the Guamote market, unique in South America where all the indigenous people from the surrounding villages gather in the market as well as other parts of the coast and other regions, traders meet to exchange goods from the coast and highlands.

  • Day 8- Ingapirca + City Tour Cuenca

    From Guamote, we will leave by road to the Ingapirca Ruins, a Cañari-Inca archaeological complex and the largest in Ecuador; the ruins that we will observe are from the XV and XVI centuries. We will visit the
    remains of the dwellings such as the ceremonial square and the palace.
    After this visit to the ruins, we will go to the city of Cuenca for a tour of the main tourist sites to observe the history and tradition shown by the roofs, balconies, gardens, museums, churches and monuments.

  • Day 9 - Return

    Return to the city of Quito or to the Airport.
